Captain’s Diary
Written by admin on August 13, 2009 – 5:51 pmLady Captain’s Day – Tuesday 11 August.
A fine young bunch of the clubs best players who also represent the top echelons of society and CHGC were invited by the Lady Captain to participate in her day at Camberley Heath Golf Club.
The theme of the day was “Bonnie Scotland” the weather was behaving itself and so incidentally was the Captain, In endorsement of their hard working Lady Captain the lady members had a great turn out of 80% of the membership.
It was a delight for all the male members invited to play a part in this important day, but I have to say we did rather hog the “Chocolate Fountain” at the half way hut and by the time we had left, so had most of the marshmallows!
After the game powdered our noses and got our best frocks on and joined the girls for a very special afternoon tea and prize presentation in the restaurant upstairs, all the prizes were Scottish heather products, the table decorations a type of thistle, all very nice.
From our point of view, we the blokes had great day and offer our sincere thanks to the Lady Captain and Lady members for our invites, we thought the day was a great success even though we a put a few pounds on the hips with all the marshmallows and melted Thornton’s Chocolate!!! Read more »
