One of the last and most pleasurable events of the year and most certainly the Lady Captain’s last one. Where has the year gone? It only seemed like yesterday and gone in the blink of an eye!

As Eileen prepares to return home to resume normal service (Washing ironing, cleaning, dusting, cooking etc) and Peter looks forward to having her back, so that he may also return to normal service (Relaxing with a beer with the boys, watching sport on Sky, putting his feet up and generally laying around and recovering after his very hectic year) your Captain was feverishly preparing her farewell ball.

Following her very successful year it is important that she goes out with a bang – light blue touch paper and stand back! Read more »

Results of Camberley Heath Quiz Night

Thursday 12 November was another great evening at the Camberley Heath Quiz night with a total of 48 contestants taking part.
Wally Walton took the chair as Quiz Master and did another fine job of keeping order with well placed orders and repeated instructions throughout the evening. Wally’s assistant, Bob Rickwood, did his best to give the teams a head start by giving out sheets with the answers on but this was quickly spotted by the Quiz Master and a rapid retrieval took place.
One team in particular should have benefited from this small error but were unable to capitalise on their good fortune because although Dave Swainston knew the answers, the team scribe had an attack of dyslexia and got the answers mixed up. Read more »
